The Zabbix Certified Professional course provides information technology professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to configure and use Zabbix proxy and distributed monitoring for your network and application monitoring needs, as well as discusses advanced Zabbix topics.

  • Automation: LLD – discovery of host resources, Windows services, discovery using SNMP and SQL
  • Data collection: VMware monitoring
  • Data collection: Java monitoring
  • Configuration: Trend prediction, percentile
  • Configuration: Bulk metrics and dependent items
  • Configuration: Item value preprocessing
  • Q&A

Day 2

  • Automation: Network discovery
  • Automation: Auto-registration
  • Configuration parameters: Zabbix server, Zabbix agent
  • Installation: Distributed monitoring – Active/Passive proxies
  • Installation: Encryption in Zabbix
  • Installation: Docker images
  • Administration: Scaling and performance tuning – how to monitor millions of metrics and millions of triggers
  • Administration: Maintenance and operations – best practices, DB sizing, upgrades
  • Administration: Problems, challenges and solutions – integration with 3rd party systems, performance, maintenance issues

The following certifications are not included in the price of training session.

Available certifications

The exam is included in the price of the training. If you are not successful in certification, you can also buy the exam separately. However, it is necessary for you to attend training before the test.

Currently Zabbix has the following exams depending on the type of course:

  • Zabbix Certified User exam – 30 min
  • Zabbix Certified Specialist exam – 60 min.
  • Zabbix Certified Professional exam – 75 min
  • Zabbix Certified Expert exam – 120 min

Examination system is managed by Zabbix. Zabbix may at its sole discretion change the examination requirements, questions, tests exceeding the thresholds, number of questions to be asked, time for each test, etc.

It is prohibited to use any printed or online links, books, electronic resources, search results during the Zabbix exams. The student must provide answers to all exam questions only by using his / her own knowledge and experience.

Examination of candidates will be held right after the candidates training where the following abilities

will be examined:

  • knowledge of OS (at minimum Linux and Windows),
  • knowledge of Zabbix installation on different environments (both stand-alone and distributed),
  • knowledge of Zabbix administration on the highest level,
  • ability to present material,
  • ability to communicate,
  • ability to troubleshoot non-standard issues and problems.
